With over 10 years of successful Feng Shui consulting, I have seen what works and what doesn't work. I have developed a skill of transforming Eastern philosophies into our Western culture, décor and lifestyle. What type of Feng Shui do you practice? Through my curious nature and the love of Feng Shui I have learned many styles from several Feng Shui teachers/masters and have practiced and worked with different Feng Shui techniques. I find that different techniques work for different sought out results. For example, Flying Star Feng Shui helps finding the best areas of the building to start renovating, which areas to keep quiet so as not to activate sha (disruptive) energy and which areas to activate for positive energy flow. Western Contemporary Feng Shui Bagua Map is good for giving your life a boost in one of the 9 stations of life which could be prosperity, health, love, creativity, travel or synchronicity for example. I also advise homeowners and business owners of their best "power directions" which we get from the Eight Mansion Feng Shui using the compass and landform. There are many more techniques and formulas that I use depending on the needs, requests and situation of the client. What do you do in a Feng Shui consultation? The Feng Shui audit starts before I get to the destination. I ask many questions on the phone with the client to get an idea of the types of Feng Shui techniques I will have to use and how long it will take. On my drive to the destination, an analysis of the area around the building and roadways leading up the building are first taken into consideration. You may not be able to change roadways and the environment around the building but it will tell what type of chi is collecting around you and entering the building. I will then be able to make recommendations for the flow of chi on the inside of the building in relation to the shape and configuration of each room and floorplan. I discuss every room with you and explain whether needs to be changes and where things are best left alone. I pay particular attention to the bedrooms, kitchen and main entryway to the home. In an office, I pay particular attention to boardroom, key employee offices and main entryway. I advise the client to record all the recommendations with a time-line for each of when the changes should be done. Why is timing important in Feng Shui? Feng Shui is about time and space. We can move objects around the house for better energy flow but we also have consider the energy from the earth and the planets in our solar system. The planets affect our energies in different ways at different times. We can see this when the moon affects our tides on the earth. There are best times to activate chi in different compass directions in the home/office. I can advise when to start renovations, travel, get married, sign a contract, dig the earth or even when to open the doors of a new business. There are best years, months, days or even hour to do different things. (I call this Date Selection) What is your fee and how long is the consultation? The fee for a consultation depends on the size of the home, how many bedrooms and how many people occupy the home. If the consultation is a considerable distance from Toronto then a small travel fee may be added. A typical consultation lasts about 2 hours and a little bit more for larger homes. Large offices may take a couple of visits to finish the analysis and includes a formal report. When is the best time for a consultation? When you feel you need a change in your life, you feel things in life could be better or you feel the energy in your home or office could be more positive and supportive. This could be at any time. Some clients call for a consultation just before they move, just after they move, before a major renovation, just after having a baby, when they want a change in careers or their career needs a boost, or they could be in their home several years but find things in life are starting to go "down hill". People in offices call for many of the same reasons or feel their employees need some "morale" help. It is important to know where to place the desk of key employees for optimum productivity, client retention and decision making. It is also important to have a consultation for your boardroom and reception area in a business. 905-271-0020 Will you change my décor style or floor space? I work with what you have. I don't do any of the changes. You decide what and when you will do them. The changes must be in line with your style and tastes. Very rarely do I suggest constructual changes unless that is what you are looking for. Many times things/furnishings in the home just need to be re-arranged for an activation or re-direction of energy. I may suggest removal of certain objects if the energy is not serving you in a positive way. I want to make sure you feel positive with all recommendations. Can you do a consultation for an apartment or condo? I have consulted for many apartments, condos, homes, cottages, offices and business of all sizes. Do all occupants have to present during the consultation? I work for the person who hired me. If you wish the other occupants to be there then it is fine that they are present. They do not have to be there or you may not wish them to be there during the consultation, which is OK. You should call for an appointment about 2 weeks in advance. I travel all over Ontario to teach and do consultations so you can call or email and let me know the best time for you. I can accommodate your schedule whether you want one during the week or on the weekend. Some clients feel the difference in energy during the consultation. When you work with Feng Shui, it's like a seed that you plant. It starts to work right away but sometimes it takes a week or two to see the results.
